Special Notes for America Online(R) Customers If you use America Online (AOL) to access the Word Wide Web, you need to launch and sign onto AOL before you Preview or Publish your ClickArt Web Site Workshop site. If you have problems publishing ClickArt Web Site Workshop sites through the Publish to Web feature, use the Publish to Folder feature in ClickArt Web Site Workshop and upload your site through the America Online FTP utility. Remember to remove files from your AOL directory before you republish a site or place a new site up on the directory. In AOL use the keyword: My Place We recommend this log in name format in the Log in/User Name field of ClickArt Web Site Workshop Publish to Web feature, username@members.aol.com. Username being your AOL username. For more information regarding FTPing to your AOL account, refer to the AOL FTP directions at keyword: FTP *********************************************************************** 3. Troubleshooting Remember to contact your Internet Service Provider or Web Hosting Service for the following information: * Your ISPs or Web Hosting Service's File Transfer Protocol (FTP) address for uploading your Web site. * Your log on name * Your password * Your file upload directory path * Your Web site Uniform Resource Locator (URL) * Registering for Web page space Web Animations and Links You can test your Web Animations and Links by publishing or previewing your site. The links and animations are only active during these processes. Web Animations Some of the Web Animations have transparent backgrounds. You can see if an Animation has a transparent background by placing it on the page and changing the background. If the Animation background changes with the page's background, it is transparent. Printing The Print function works like a World Wide Web Browser's print function. The application prints the current page. To print out each page, select that page and print using the Print button on the toolbar. Photo Accessories There are certain images and graphics in this package that are designed to create photo collages. Because of the limitations of overlapping objects in HTML, these images cannot be used to create collages in ClickArt Web Site Workshop. You can export these graphics to a different graphics program of your choice. Overwriting index.html in Directories Because World Wide Web Browsers look for the first page of Web sites to be named index.htm or index.html, many Web Design programs name their Web sites with this name including ClickArt Web Site Workshop. Before you publish a Web site created by ClickArt Web Site Workshop, double-check your server directories to make sure there isn't another Web site in them. If there is, save these Web sites to your hard drive, then publish the Web site created by ClickArt Web Site Workshop. ClickArt Web Site Workshop will over-write any index.htm or index.html it finds in the publishing directory. Installing Adobe Acrobat This product comes with an electronic manual. To view the manual, you must first install Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader. Please refer to Manual.txt in the WSManual directory of the CD-ROM for instructions on installing Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader version 3.01. Importing Large Text Files On some computer configurations, ClickArt Web Site Workshop can not import text files larger than 9K. If you run into this problem, reduce the size of your *.txt or *.rtf file and re-import the text into ClickArt Web Site Workshop.
